Wednesday Faith Night
Foundations of Faith
All prekindergarten and kindergarten students are welcome to attend this Wednesday night program offered from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Hannah Hall. The class offers children a second opportunity during the week to learn about Bible stories, sing songs, do crafts, and play games. The program gives the children a time to laugh, have fun, be silly, and move closer to God with a special kind of seriousness.
X.O.S. (Exploring Our Strengths)
eXploring Our Strengths (X.O.S.) is a new program for first and second graders offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Learning Center 1. Over the two-year course children will learn about strengths and self image, 12 specific spiritual gifts, and how these strengths affect our stewardship and discipleship. The concept of spiritual gifts will be introduced without labeling or naming specific strengths in each child. The goal of this program is to provide opportunities to discover strengths and to be an entry point for nurturing emerging gifts. Come join us for stories, music, and fun.
Attitudes Working on Beatitudes
Attitudes Working on Beatitudes is an hour long class offered to 3rd and 4th grade students on Wednesday nights. Students will spend the first two classes creating puppets that are in their personal image. They will then study the Beatitudes and write out puppet play showing how they can apply each of the Beatitudes in their daily lives. There will be lots of team work in creating these wonderful Beatitude puppet scripts.
Peers
Peers class is an hour long class offered for 5th and 6th grade students on Wednesday nights. However due to space and the completion of the new rooms, this class will NOT start until Wednesday, October 7 this year. The Peers class will focus on how God wants us to develop healthy friendships and how to maintain healthy friendships in a Godly manner. We may do some role play and skits just to practice what we have learned. We will look at Old Testament books like Proverbs as well as New Testament scripture like Ephesians to learn how God wants us to handle our peers and create relationships.
