Two Wonderful Opportunities to Give During the Holidays
This year we have two wonderful opportunities for you to make Christmas brighter for someone else; Luther Park Auxiliary and Mosaic Lutheran Group Home.
Luther Park Auxiliary - December is fast approaching so please consider donating gifts again this year to the Luther Park Auxiliary to give to their residents. There will be a list (available for you to take with you) posted on the bulletin board. I will have the donation box in the front hallway. Do not wrap the gifts, and please have them there by December 6. Many thanks for your past generosity.

Mosiac Lutheran Group Home - Once again as part of community outreach, Faith members may purchase holiday gifts for the residents of Mosaic Lutheran Group Homes in the Des Moines area. Green stars with the resident's name, group home and gift ideas are posted in the Commons. Also posted is a sign-up sheet for you to fill out as you take a star. Please include the name of the resident that you have chosen. Return your wrapped gift with the resident’s star attached to the church office by Sunday, December 13. The youth at Faith will be transporting these gifts to the group homes. Please help us to make the holidays brighter for these residents. The Page Turners, Faith’s new book club for families, invites all interested upper elementary students and their parents to join us as we explore exciting books and share reading ideas. We will be discussing The Lemonade Wars by Jacqueline Davies on Sunday, New comers are welcome! December 20, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m in the Adult Ministry Room in Messiah Hall. MOTHERS & OTHERS Connect with Mothers & Others as we prepare for the holidays. Mothers & Others is an exciting new group for women in the Faith neighborhood. Join us for friendship, food and fun on the first and third Fridays of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Advent Hall, Room 103.
Childcare will be provided for free during Mothers & Others. For more information or to RSVP to an event, please contact Tina Tessier at tinatessier@faithlc.org. Mothers & Others is a community outreach program, so invite your friends and neighbors.

Confirmation for Adults
The Adult Confirmation Class will continue to meet on December 2,9, and 16th from 6:00-6:50 in the Adult Ministry Room. This way attendees can still attend the Advent service starting at 7 pm. I am hoping to have child care in place for those with young children that still want to come to the class. Even if you haven't been to a class yet, you are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
